JOB DESCRIPTION – Senior Account Manager (UK and US)

The Role

As Senior Account Manager you will support the Client Services Team and report directly into an Account Director. You will use a broad range of multi-channel delivery skillsets with a key focus on implementation rigor and discipline as part of our client delivery team.

This position holds responsibility for core campaign delivery across a number of clients. You will be an essential lead in implementing new processes and will use and input to our regular reporting for both internal audiences (forecast, billings) and clients (status, campaign measurement and ROI reporting).

For this role, we are looking for a seasoned marketer with understanding of full funnel campaigns, marketing technology and paid search and paid social, in order to provide direction for the team.  

Key Responsibilities Include:

Client-facing

Work directly with clients maintaining and expanding relationships in partnership with the Account Directors and VP of Client Services to build and strengthen key client relationships.

Financial Management

Manage the financial lifecycle of projects and work with the Account Director to manage monthly actual and forward forecast of billings per client. Manage budget utilization against project completion across clients.

Project Management

Set up and manage the delivery of key client campaigns – on brief, on time and in budget:

  • Demonstrate consistent process rigor: work within and influence process, lead status reporting and regular client project status meetings with detail-oriented actioning of client feedback
  • Manage multiple clients and campaigns in parallel, adopting a problem-solving mind-set and communicating clearly and logically both verbally and in writing

Stakeholder Management

Work closely with internal and external partners to ensure our level of delivery meets expectations

  • Ensure required internal resource (e.g. tech) is scheduled in line with agreed timelines
  • Quote new project work (liaising with external suppliers for production quotes)
  • Support other team members when required (across the creative, sales and one-to-one calling teams)

Creative, digital & demand focus

Sound digital thinking with demand generation campaign experience from inception to completion:

  • Multi-channel thinking and delivery across a customer / buyer journey
  • Support the go live of automation-driven campaigns
  • Lead with a creative mindset, developing written and verbal creative briefs

Reporting

Status and financial reporting in line with Financial and Project Management tasks above.

Training

Assist the VP of Client Services  in onboarding and training new Client Services team members.

Skills and Experience

  • At least 4-5 years’ experience in a B2B marketing agency 
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter with sales and client service skills
  • Solid experience in marketing automation platforms, sales enablement and ABM
  • Enthusiastic, a go-getter who is happy to take the initiative and able to work at pace, jumping between different projects
  • Commercially-focused with prior experience in a client service role – preference to those with B2B Demand Gen or Content Marketing gained whilst working in an Agency environment

The Role

Creative Director role is a critical role. Leading a team of thinkers and doers, the creative director will bring a mix of marketing expertise, creative flair and business acumen to the role, supporting our team to create campaigns that convert. We’re looking for an experienced manager of people, someone who can inspire others while taking our creative output to a new level as we continue to grow. Objectives of this role

  • Inspire, lead and review the work of the creative teams for all web, print, and digital marketing content
  • Spearhead and manage creative strategy for both small and large projects, harnessing brand design, copy, art, and digital technology
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales departments in developing marketing plans, analyzing results, and identifying opportunities

The Content Writer is  responsible for crafting engaging and persuasive copy for a variety of digital platforms for client projects. They will utilize strong writing and creative ability to develop new content for all aspects of our client projects including but not limited to photography, rendering, video, infographics, and listing content. Leveraging SEO and data analytic insights with agency partners, to improve ratings and site traffic.

The Designer is responsible for all aspects of the creative work including: research, idea generation, concept exploration, design development and finalization. We’re looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and digital media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with art directors, writers, and international stakeholders, focusing on crafting user-friendly designs while adhering to client guidelines
  • Apply expertise in design thinking/principles/typography and cross-channel creative execution to a wide range of assignments such as user interface design, digital display, video, email, direct mail, print collateral, presentation narratives and identity development

The Role

As an Account Manager you will support the Client Services Team and report directly into an Account Director.

You will have the opportunity to work on several key clients across B2B Marketing channels and as part of a team delivering commercially focused activity for technology clients, globally. You will also be in charge of leading a project forward holding all key responsibilities for a successful delivery.

This position holds full responsibility for the performance, delivery, and management of a campaign. You will be an essential lead in coordinating the implementation of client services fundamentals as well as new processes and will manage and administer systems to inform internal audiences and clients.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Client-facing

Work directly in partnership with the Account Director and when required Senior Account Manager to maintain, build and strengthen key client relationships. You will be expected to lead with confidence and to be able to have detail-orientated conversations with our clients.

Financial Management

Oversee the financial lifecycle of projects and provides information on project budget and client’s campaign performance (e.g. progress against target pipeline).

Project Management

Set up and manage the delivery of key client campaigns – on brief, on time and in budget:

  • Process rigor: work within agreed process, lead status reporting and regular project status meetings with clients with detail-oriented actioning of client feedback

Manage multiple campaigns – constantly rolling out new campaigns across international markets, a great problem-solver and extremely effective communicator. Be on the front-foot with knowing where projects are at, at any given time.

The Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Group Account Director to join the UDG team. 

You would lead your client delivery team, providing strategic direction, financial control and day-to-day operations of the accounts, helping to lead your team in the planning, creation and implementation of campaigns while ensuring quality of work and delivery of services to the highest standard.

The role would specifically include:

Client Relationship Development:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with all key client decision makers at both a senior and operational level in order to be commercially successful
  2. Review and monitor client feedback (positive and negative) on a constant basis to ensure clients feel their needs are being met
  3. Encourage clients to allow us to actively participate in the development of campaign strategies and communication plans at initial planning stages so we can guide, advise and add value in the pursuit of delivering award-winning marketing programs
  4. Proactively instigate client and internal brainstorms to achieve the strategic and creative goals of the account

Account Growth

  1. Direct, retain and grow your client portfolio to meet annual revenue and margin targets
  2. Lead new business chemistry meetings, pitches and proposals
  3. Create comprehensive account plans to win new business from new and/or existing clients
  4. Staying abreast of the latest technology/IT market trends and challenges alongside new and emerging B2B marketing solutions
  5. Direct and manage your account teams to ensure campaigns are executed in accordance with client expectations and quality standards
  6. Taking the lead in annual/ bi-annual procurement, client and campaign reviews
  7. Maintain rigorous financial management of all client accounts, providing accurate monthly forecasts and demonstrating full commercial control over all client accounts 
  8. Reporting into and supported by the Global Client Services Director, this exciting senior role is a great opportunity for a talented and passionate Group Account Director to manage and develop their own portfolio of global blue-chip brands.

Marketing Campaign Management and Execution

  1. Provide excellent account direction by proactively advising clients on top level marketing strategies, developing clear briefs that inspire creative marketing solutions that deliver results.
  2. Support the Account Managers in preparing campaign proposals, identifying clear deliverables, accurate budgets, realistic timelines, with ROI measurement criteria
  3. Attend client meetings (traveling abroad when required) or conference calls (sometimes after working hours) to take new campaign briefs, taking the lead role in a meeting/call to understanding client requirements
  4. Develop and deliver successful marketing campaigns from brief through to ROI

Team Direction

  1. Work with the team to nurture their performance, skills and personal development to ensure that all campaigns are executed flawlessly from briefing to post-campaign reporting.
  2. Inspire, motivate and mentor the team to manage clients professionally
  3. Train and guide the team to ensure full understand of the client brand, their key products and services, business sectors, and buyer behaviors
  4. Ensure their campaigns are constantly delivering results and being managed to a high standard and delivered within the agreed timeline
  5. Ensure they follow all UDG’s internal processes and procedures correctly and consistently
  6. Maintain a reasonably detailed knowledge of what campaigns they are working on (and its status) to be able to cover for any absence and provide a point of escalation for the client.

Skills, Competence and Experience

  1. At least 15 years’ experience in an B2B marketing agency
  2. Understanding of waterfall planning and funnel metrics, and the ability to build top down/bottoms up demand gen plans based on client revenue goals
  3. Martech savvy – understanding of marketing automation platforms, sales enablement, ABM and other related tools and the role it plays in revenue generation for our clients
  4. Experience with using and reporting using project management solutions
  5. Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting from an agency perspective
  6. Experience working with B2B companies (tech/SaaS strongly preferred)

Position Location: Fully Remote in UK.  Regular team collaboration in London.
