‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
All marketers kept from stirring,
Trying not to peek at emails and their wireless mouse.
There were laptops and desktops streaming holiday movies,
T.V.s glowed visions of beautiful holiday fires,
While Alexa and Google read recipes for boards of charcuterie.
Santa’s cookies were baked and carefully plated,
They were a mix of vegan, gluten-free, and of course the nut-free and classic favorites,
Santa appreciated the cookie catering, for his reindeers will be overjoyed,
To finally have some treats to eat and enjoy.
The smart bulbs and smart outlets turned on all the Christmas decor,
Every marketer headed to bed and tucked in their furbabies and families,
While Santa tip-toed quietly on the creaky parquet floor.
The gifts were delivered, lists were checked off and completed,
Santa sprang to his sleigh, one so electric and new.
Rudolph clicked autostart and away, away they all flew.
What did you expect from a modern-day last-mile holiday crew?
And on all the wireless home speakers and digital assistants,
A recording was sent and set to whisper,
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND CHEERS TO NEW HOLIDAY TRADITIONS!
